Viral games, launch campaigns and trailer goodness

Cineamtics I:

As part of an in-class conversation on viral games, memes and videos, I encouraged the class to play Waiting In Line, an 'anti-game' by Rajeev Basu that has gone viral in recent days.

It was even featured in mainstream magazines like Wired, Huffington Post, and on CBC.ca.  It was  played 50K times in first day available.
Inspiration: Desert Bus (Sega) - driving a bus indefinitely.

We also looked at Press coverage, negative press coverage, and release campaigns, focusing on:

We followed up with watching some of the 'best trailers' and a discussion on the portrayal and presentation of women in video games.
